JANG, Jong Whan Professor, Dean of Graduate School of Information and Communication, PaiChai University. Taejon,South Korea

Born in Seoul in 1955. Received the B.S.E.E degree in Electronic Communication Engineering from Han Yang University, Seoul, Korea in 1979. He also received the M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, USA in 1986 and 1990 respectively. Since 1990, he has been with PaiChai University, Daejeon, Republic of Korea, where he is currently an professor of the Department of Computer, Informations & Communications, and Electronics Engineering and serves the Dean Position. His research interests include image processing, multimedia communications, and multimedia database. He also serves the Director of PaiChai Information and Communications Venture Business Center supported by MIC since 1998, Vice President of Daeduck IT forum consisted of Many IT Experts in Daeduck Valley, Managing Directors of Daejeon HighTech Industry Foundation created by Daejoen Metropolian City and Open Software Forum created by MIC. Presently He makes to efforts to organize the Joint IT Forums of Daeduck Valley, other domestic Valleies, and overseas Vallies. He was Chief Information Officer at Daejeon Metropolitan City.
