Born in 1941. Completed the Graduate School of Hokkaido University in 1966, Dr. of Engineering in 1972, Professor since 1979, specializing in information media engineering. Initiated Hokkaido Micro- computer Workshop in 1976, which developed into the present Sapporo Valley. Awarded in 1981 by Sapporo Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the thesis “Independent Local Economy”. Successively held positions of Chairman of Sapporo Electronics Center Steering Committee, Chairman of the Hokkaido Computer Graphics Association and General Manager, Hokkaido Branch of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers. Holds a workshop “Aoki Juku” since 1999. Major works include: “Lectures on Micro Computer”, “Lectures on Computer Graphics” and many more. Won the Hokkaido-Shimbun Culture Prize in 2000, Hokkaido Culture Prize in 2001, Hokkaido Scientific and Technological Award in 2003. Fellow of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers and IPSJ.
