CHON, Kil-Nam Professor, Korea Advanced Institute of Science , Technology (KAIST)

Graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, Osaka University, in 1965. Obtained a Ph.D. at the University of California, the U.S. Served as a senior researcher at the California Institute of Technology and the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) before inaugurated as a professor at the Department of Computer Science, KAIST, in 1982. In the meantime, he served as a visiting professor at Stanford University, Cambridge University, etc. President of KNC (1993), President of APNG (Asia-Pacific Networking Group) (1992-1995), Co-Chairman of CCIRN (Coordinating Committee for Intercontinental Research Networking) (1989).
