Dr.Rom
taught various undergraduate and graduate classes in computer science
in the U.S. during 1980ês and in Thailand during 1990ês. He has served
on various advisory panels on IT and computing for government organizations
such as the Civil Service Commission, Thai Parliament, Military Supreme
Command, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Finance, Budget Bureau, Stock
Exchange of Thailand, etc. He has served on the subcommittee for computer
science terminology of the Royal Institute since 1989; and on the curriculum
committee on Computer Science for the Ministry of University Affairs
since 1990. In December 1999 he was named –IT Person of the Year” by
the Nation news paper for his work in software industry promotion. His
primary computing interests are: fault tolerant systems, software engineering,
object-oriented technology, and professional training in IT. |
